With only 48 hours notice, I was handed directing duties on introducing Synthesia’s first interactive avatar product to the world - Roleplay Sesisons, part of a larger rollout of tools used by businesses to train, track, and learn from their employees.

With a script prepared by our marketing leads, I quickly got to work on creating a compelling narrative and storyboard that introduced Sessions in a way that was easy to understand - by placing the avatars in the real world and heightening the user experience. We shot two sections of material with CEO Victor Riparbelli over two days - the first a product walkthrough, and the second the narrative seen in the hero launch video. With a crew assembled at record speed, our team of six got to work and shot at Synthesia HQ with real employees and real technology.
